HYPNOSIS & HYPNOTHERAPY IN LOS ANGELES - HOW THERAPEUTIC HYPNOSIS WORKS | THE HYPNOTHERAPY PROCESS

THE HYPNOTHERAPY PROCESS

What are sessions like?

I see clients at my office in Los Angeles and via skype. My office provides a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, wherein I offer the utmost in confidentiality and a highly personalized approach, specifically tailored to each client’s needs.

Each hypnotherapy session includes hypnosis and mental coaching modalities customized to address your specific needs and requests. Hypnotherapy sessions last 90 minutes, with the exception of the first session, which is 120 minutes.

All sessions include an audio MP3 recording for you to use in between sessions to reinforce the suggestions. Reinforcement is key in how the mind learns new, positive habits, so your audio recordings are key added value for you.

For first-time clients, I am happy to provide 15-20 minutes for a preliminary phone consultation at no charge to discuss your needs.

Our first appointment is a 120 minute intake session

  • We discuss cognitively your reason for seeking hypnotherapy and what you wish to get out of our time together.

  • I explain how hypnotherapy works, do an in-depth analysis of your suggestibility (ie. the way you process information) and go over a plan of action with you.

  • The final part of the session (25 to 35 minutes) is the actual hypnosis, where I create a very relaxed, comfortable state using customized inductions, guided imagery and visualization, and post-hypnotic suggestions for change and success.

  • We talk about how you are doing with the recording and what is coming up for you

  • What you wish to get out of the session that day

  • Last 25-35 minutes of the session is the hypnosis

Subsequent sessions are 90 minutes and incorporate behavior modification techniques combined with cognitive therapy

I provide results for my clients in the following areas:

***Some specific issues may require me to work as an adjunct under referral from your medical doctor or psychotherapist. I will let you know if this is the case when we discuss your needs.***
