Overcome Fears And Phobias With Hypnosis

Would you like to cure yourself of an irrational fear? Hypnosis for phobias can help you overcome many debilitating fears, including fear of public speaking (second most "googled" fear), stage fright, fear of flying, fear of driving, fear of heights, social phobia, economic fear... and many other fears not listed here.

A phobia is an irrational fear, literally a fear without good reason, or a fear of something that may not happen. People with phobias often experience unwanted responses to animals, objects, actions or places.

This physical response is known as a stress response; people often describe their reaction to something as being “paralysed with fear” or “having butterflies in my stomach”, “just wanting to run away” from whatever is triggering the response.

People with phobias often know their response is irrational, which makes it harder to accept. “Why am I reacting like this when I know it can’t hurt me?” is something most hypnotherapists hear from a client who has come to see them for treating a phobia.

Phobias are far more common than many people realise. It is estimated that more than 11% of the population have some kind of irrational fear.

Generally people manage their phobia on a day-to-day basis and only seek help from a hypnotherapist when it prevents them doing something they want to do, or when they know a situation will force them to face it. People are also aware of the possibility of unconsciously passing on their phobias to their children, who learn from their behavior.

Here is a list of the most common phobias I see people for, and the benefits they get from the work we do together.

Public Speaking

Do you fear public speaking? Imagine an almost magical scenario where you are giving a talk to a large group of people and, instead of hearing that self-critical voice from within, you stay completely focused as your audience listens intently to each word. In fact, you are so involved with your message that people easily grasp and feel your passion. You become more and more inspired as you continue to talk. All of your ideas are easily conveyed. You are so proud of the speech you gave that you find yourself giddy the rest of the day. An added plus is that you’ve gained the respect of your listeners. The next time you even think of giving a speech, you look forward to it because you see it as another opportunity to hone in on your skill.

Stage Fright

Acting, singing, and playing music isn’t just a hobby, but a true gift that needs to be fully developed. For many, it is a part of who they are. Imagine that the moment the big lights shine towards you on stage — your mind immediately takes the cue that you are now in your center, and the perfect words, expressions, and movements flow out of you with ease. Your mind is so focused that everything else around you is almost as if it were non-existent, because your focus is entirely on you expressing your gift. Now, take in the idea that all of this is absolutely possible!

Fear of Flying

Flying is by far the safest mode of transportation, with thousands of flights safely reaching their destinations 24 hours a day. Even so, the fear of flying still pervades the minds of many. Overcome the fear of flying by reconditioning your mind to view this experience in a positive light. Board your next flight knowing that you are now in full control of your emotions, and that you are better for it. Whatever the trigger might be, whether it be noise, turbulence, or the feeling of being confined, my goal will be to help you diffuse the pattern of fear and create relaxation.

Fear of Driving

Do you experience severe anxiety and panic attacks when you drive? Some people experience them in specific places, such as when they are about to make a right- or left-hand turn. Others experience them regardless of where they are. You’ve probably noticed that since your initial anxiety attack, your mind already anticipates the same thing happening again. By anticipating a panic attack, you unwittingly make it happen. With the help of hypnosis, you can start driving again feeling self-assured and confident. In a city as spread out as Los Angeles, driving is a must. Drive confidently on streets and freeways — regardless of the place and time of the day.

Fear of Heights

You no longer have to live with acrophobia (fear of heights). Hypnosis gives you the ability to defuse any previous feelings of discomfort and fear so that you can use elevators, look down a tall building, and look out skyscraper windows — all while rising above any previous fear. During our session(s), I will teach your mind to bring in comfortable thoughts that are linked to some of the other fun, relaxing, and calming things that you like to do. Feel safe, calm, and confident wherever you are. Feel like you are on top of the world — and loving it!

Social Phobia

Social phobias can be devastating because they impede you from being your wonderful self — that wonderful person who other people enjoy being around. Start living confidently and say good-bye to any ideas that do not benefit you. I can help your mind to see wonderful opportunities in social settings, whether it be out with friends, networking, or at a business conference. You’ll start to notice that when you’ve cleared this block, the doors to meeting new and interesting people will open wide. Start enjoying new experiences. Remember, the only thing that ever stops you is you. Is this the right time for you to make that change?

Economic Fear

Don’t let fear paralyze you. It can only stop you from taking the current actions that you need to take. Your thoughts are like drops of water that cause ripples in a pool of water. Those ripples bring in more of the same energy that you put out. This is why it is important to rid yourself of any limiting beliefs you currently possess regarding your relationship to money. You can set your mind to succeed. Experience abundance by seeing your relationship to money in a new, positive way. Start to look forward to your future.
